Farm Household Allowance

The Farm Household Allowance (FHA) provides help for farmers in Australia facing hardship, particularly during drought.

Eligibility criteria

You can get Farm Household Allowance (FHA) if you are an Australian citizen, permanent visa-holder or a protected Special Category visa-holder (SCV).

Review of the Farm Household Allowance

The FHA commenced in July 2014, and the Government has decided to review the program. The review panel is accepting public submissions from interested stakeholders.

Make a written submission

Submit a written response via email or post to questions raised in the issues paper or containing your experiences, thoughts and/or suggestions (max four pages). Before you make a written submission, make sure you have read the read the Issues paper for the Farm Household Allowance review PDF (927 KB) and/or the Terms of Reference PDF (382 KB).

Submit your feedback by 2 November 2018. The Review will make recommendations to Government in the first half of 2019.
